Lady Sliders is a New Zealand-based surfboard brand founded by shaper Louise Aitken — created by a woman, for women. With over a decade of hands-on experience in the surf industry, Louise is passionate about designing boards that are intuitive, stylish, and built specifically for female surfers.

Having worked in both Australia and New Zealand, Louise’s journey started out in the Gold Coast glassing and shaping boards with some of the giants of the surf industry. She then moved back to NZ, shaping alongside legends like Anderson and Morris. Over the past 8–10 years, she’s been shaping her own boards — refining her craft and developing a unique blend of style and performance.

As one of the few female surfboard shapers in the world, Louise saw a gap in the market. While many male shapers do incredible work, she believes they often can’t fully understand how it feels to surf in a female body — the way we move, our balance, and how subtle design tweaks can make all the difference in confidence and flow.

Lady Sliders was born from that insight: to create surfboards that feel like an extension of the female surfer — balanced, responsive, and empowering. Whether you're just starting out or chasing clean lines on bigger days, Lady Sliders boards are made to move with you.
